The Commodore’s of Vanderbilt University’s football team defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide with a final score of 40-35, marking a historic upset for the Commodores on October 5, 2024.

This victory was particularly significant as it was Vanderbilt’s first-ever win against a #1 ranked team and their first victory over Alabama in 40 years.

The game was a thrilling back and forth game until the end, with Vanderbilt fans storming the field to celebrate the monumental win and taking the goal post all the way down Broadway to the Cumberland River!
