Legends & Champions 2016 College Football Game of the Year Award
Anticipated Release: August 2017
Shown above is Collectors Giclee Edition of Legends & Champions by artist Daniel A. Moore’s new tribute in oils commemorating the history making 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The painting is an integral part of the 2016 College Football Game of the Year Award®, which is presented annually by the United States Sports Academy. The artist is now in the process of creating the original oil painting from which Giclées prints and canvases will be published. These Fine Art offerings give Clemson fans the opportunity to share in the Game of the Year Award!
The artist begins each of his oil paintings by first transforming his ideas into stunning visual compositions by creating a preliminary pencil sketch (above). Even in this rough stage, we can see there will be subtle references of Clemson Legends from the 1981 National Championship. These ghosted images include Coach Danny Ford, Defensive game MVP Homer Jordan and Offensive game MVP Jeff Davis. Their spiritual presence was not only felt by the current team of Clemson champions as they toppled the top-ranked Crimson Tide, but also by the numerous Clemson fans pulling for their Tigers.
Collectors Edition Gicelee – The Regular Edition is the most widely produced edition. These prints are produced by a 4-color process known as offset-lithography. This “mass-production” process utilizes small red, green, blue and black dots to approximate the colors of the original artwork. Additional single color touch plates may be added to the printing to enhance colors closer to those of the original painting. Our lithographs are printed on acid-free archival paper, using permanent inks. Each Collectors Edition Gicelee has an image area of approximately 19½” x 26” and is hand-signed and numbered in pencil by the artist in the lower margin of the print.
Each Regular Edition Lithograph is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition & a gold embossed seal.
